THE DOCTORAL SCHOOL FOR PSYCHOLOGY AND EDUCATION SCIENCE

The doctoral school in psychology and educational sciences adheres to the scientific writing guidelines described in the American Psychological Association (APA) Publication Manual, 7th Edition.

All the interim research results (essays, analysis reports) and the thesis in its entirety, must be written in accordance with the above-mentioned scientific writing standards.

For essays and other reports, full adherence to the APA Style is expected, including the title page, running head, tables and figures listed at the end of the document, 2 point spacing etc.

For the doctoral thesis, the necessary format exceptions from APA Style are as follows:

  • title page (which must of course be substituted with the title page adopted by the University of Bucharest);
  • running head (which is not required);
  • tables and figures (that will not be listed in the final pages but inserted in-text);
  • 2 point spacing (a 1.5 point spacing will be used instead).

The APA Publication Manual (7th Edition) may be consulted in the faculty’s library, but may also be ordered online from these two sources:
